Product Description:
Anti-Gas Migration is a heavy molecule co-polymer liquid additive for cement slurries and is designed to impart low fluid loss characteristics and to help prevent gas migration into and up the
annulus and which is compatible with most other additives.
Applications/Functions:
Typical concentrations of Anti Gas Migration in cement slurries are generally in the region of 0.5 to 2.5 gals/Sx. but depend on the level of fluid loss control required and the well temperatures. The product can be used at temperatures from ambient temperature to high level, depends on BHCT and designer of cement program.
Anti-Gas Migration has positive affected on thickening times significantly and most types of retarders are compatible. Dispersant slight amount is necessary with Anti-Gas Migration to achieve good fluid loss control and depending on BHCT temperature. Lab testing is required to establish the optimum ratio and also Anti-Gas Migration has good effect on cement compressive strength at low temperatures.
