Hematite is a high-density weighting material. The Hematite ore used as a weighting agent in drilling fluids.
Applications/Functions:
Hematite specific gravity is greater than the density of Barite. Fe2O3 is easy to acidify, usually used as adulterant of drilling fluid which is used in drilling the high pressure formation.
