MICA is a group of sheet silicates characterized by a platy appearance used as a lost circulation material (LCM) and is available in three different sizes, fine, medium, and coarse. MICA is classified as a flake type of LCM.
Applications/Functions:
MICA can be used in both water and oil base muds to seal seepage and lost circulation zones.
